Yes, the 2025 BMW X3 is a full redesign. It’s larger than before and features updated styling, revised powertrains, and a revamped interior with the latest tech and driver-assist systems. All-wheel drive is now standard, replacing the previous rear-wheel-drive sDrive trim. The lineup also gets renamed: the xDrive30i becomes the X3 30 xDrive, and the M40i is now the X3 M50. New features include hands-free lane changes, adaptive cruise with traffic-light recognition, and an available Parking Assistant Professional that can park the car for you even while you’re standing outside.

The X3 30 xDrive comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 255 horsepower. Both models use an eight-speed automatic and come standard with all-wheel drive.

As a fairly tall, family man, As a dad who’s thinking about practicality, I didn’t expect the X3 to impress me this much. It’s not a full on family hauler, but it gets close plenty of legroom up front, a seating position that just feels right, and enough cargo space to handle weekend gear.

As a car enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised. The turbo-four isn’t a thrill ride like BMW’s six-cylinder M models, but it’s punchy enough for daily use. The eight-speed shifts smartly, and in Sport mode, the throttle and steering feel more alive. It’s no canyon carver, but for something this practical, it holds its own.
