Is the Mitsubishi Outlander SEL all new for 2025?
No but it does get a noticeable update. For 2025, the Outlander SEL gets a light refresh with cleaner styling, a revised center console that adds a bit more usable space, and a new Yamaha audio system now included. Mitsubishi also tweaked the suspension for a smoother feel and added more sound insulation to keep the cabin quieter.

What are the interior features of the Mitsubishi Outlander?

You get charging ports up front, along with a few physical buttons and a real volume knob, which makes the system easier to use on the move. A Yamaha audio setup is included, with an upgraded 12-speaker version available. You can also add wireless phone charging and Mitsubishi Connect for app-based remote features.
How does the Mitsubishi Outlander SEL Drive?
I have two perspectives to answer this question:
As a fairly tall, family man, it feels easy to live with. The driving position gives me enough headroom and legroom, and the visibility is good. Around town, it drives really smooth, and with my three kids two in boosters the cabin stays pretty calm. It’s not fast, but it’s comfortable and predictable, which is really what I need day to day.
As a car enthusiast, It’s not a performance SUV, but it’s fine for what it is. The steering is light, the CVT does its job, and the ride feels more settled than before. It won’t excite you, but it’s composed and straightforward to drive, which I can appreciate in a family-focused crossover.
Final thoughts
Mitsubishi went all out on the SEL. It’s a practical, well-rounded SUV that works for families who need space and comfort without any fuss. It’s roomy enough for kids in boosters, easy to drive, and has enough tech to keep everyone connected. If you want a sensible, modern crossover that’s calm and reliable, this fits the bill.
