What engine comes with the Dodge Charger?
It’s fully electric.
You get a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive, putting out around 630 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Range is roughly 250–270 miles depending on spec, and it uses a single-speed transmission like most EVs. A Direct Connection Stage power-upgrade kits provide a 15-second power boost which adds 80 hp to push maximum power to 670 horsepower. A 94-kWh battery pack provides the power.
What are the interior features of the Dodge Charger?
You can choose between a 10.3-inch or larger 16.0-inch digital gauge cluster, and every model comes standard with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The design takes clear inspiration from the 1968 Charger, with subtle retro touches worked into a modern layout. One of the highlights is a reimagined “pistol grip” style shifter in the center console, sitting alongside the start button and a wireless charging pad. In the back, there’s a large hatch opening that makes the cargo area easy to access.
A 12.3-inch touchscreen runs Dodge’s Uconnect 5 system, which is easy to use and covers the basics—Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, Amazon Alexa, and satellite radio. It also adds a built-in charging locator to help find stations on the go. There are dedicated EV pages that show things like power flow, regen activity, and battery status. You can use a digital key through your phone, with an NFC card as a backup, and the Dodge app lets you check charge levels, set schedules, and locate chargers remotely. A head-up display is available. Standard audio is a 9-speaker Alpine system, and there’s an optional 18-speaker Alpine setup with more power and a subwoofer.
How does the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack Plus drive?
I have two perspectives to answer this question:
As a fairly tall, family man, It’s surprisingly usable. There’s real space in the back for kids, and with two in boosters, it works. The ride is smooth, quiet, and easy to live with day-to-day. Being AWD helps too, it just feels planted and predictable.
As a car enthusiast, This is where it gets interesting. It’s quick… really quick and the instant torque hits hard. It doesn’t have the same drama as the old V8 cars, but performance wise, it’s seriously capable. More refined than raw, but still fast enough to feel like a proper muscle car in a new way.
Final thoughts
This Charger feels like Dodge trying to balance performance with the future. It’s fast, practical, and easier to live with than the old cars. If you want something that still has muscle car presence but works as a daily and you are open to going electric this makes a lot of sense.
