1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT made GTA/hotrod.
As Renzo describes in the intro my “pride and joy”…for now. This car started life as a standard GT, but ultimately found it’s way to the hands of the renowned Roman Tucker (From Roman Auto Prep).
A GTA expert and GTA build as this one. The car has the distinctive GTA exterior features: Front grill and heart, bottom air intake cutouts, removed bumpers, wheels, tires, door handles and windows.
It has all new suspension components, sport springs and large front sway bar with drop links. Polyurethane bushings, Koni shocks and a Limited Slip (LSD) rear end. Transmission is a 5 speed gearbox with all new synchronizers and clutch. Power comes from a 2L engine swap. Done heads, valves, Cam, high compression pistons, aluminum radiator, oil cooler, electronic ignition, heads, GTA side exhaust, recovery tank, real GTA intake manifold, dual 40/40 Webber carbs. Estimated at 180HP (still not dynoed) Inside is very simplistic, with aluminum door cards, roll cage, rear seat delete, Sparco racing buckets, dash has no radio or glove box cutouts. Plexi side glass – front and rear, alcantara MOMO steering wheel. Alfaholics fuel cell Wheels I purchased from Classic Alfa. 7×14 raw aluminum finish, wrapped in Avon CR6ZZ’s 180/70/14 (Nice vintage GTA look).
Livery on the car is currently with a dark hunter green nose. Really thinking of going white or red. What do you think? Future plans: high performance exhaust, but coming out from the back of the car. Carb trumpets + new carburetor venturi and jets for more performance. Sport, but less aggressive vintage appearance buckets, door cards, flat MOMO steering wheel.
At the moment it’s not for sale, but then again everything is for sale 😉
