Is the Mercedes-Benz E450 Cabriolet all new for 2021?
No, however the exterior does have a slight makeover including a more aggressive grill and front bumper. The interior gets the upgrade to MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) with the instrument and infotainment displays on a pair of side-by-side 12.3″ touch screens. The steering wheel is also a new design and new power-plants featuring the latest EQ mild-hybrid systems.

What are the interior features of the Mercedes-Benz E450 4matic Cabriolet?
Very contemporary interior and absolute luxury. Fine leather, wood trim, two tone finish throughout, and no roof.
My test vehicle was finished in Macchiato beige and Yacht blue leather, dash and doors are in Light brown Sen wood trim. The combination of colors were truly spectacular. Upgraded MBUX with easy navigation through menus and functions. The most entertaining function was all the ambient lighting options; 64 colors to choose from, door panel, dash, aircraft-inspired air vents, and footwells all light up. You can choose from keeping it one consistent color or alternating with different mood options.
The dash cluster and infotainment system are made up of two 12.3 inch color displays, new for the E-Class Cabriolet for 2021. Additional features include Apple CARPLay, Androaid Auto, Bluetooth, Keyless-Start, Power Liftgate, Heated Front Seats, Wireless Charging, USB-C ports, Burmester Surround Sound System, and much more. How does the Mercedes-BEnz E450 4MATIC Cabriolet drive?
I have two perspectives to answer this question:
As a fairly tall, family man, Given it is a convertible, I must say it was rather spacious. Two adults can sit in the rear. It is evident this is not a family car, but in my case it was for a whole week and it was manageable. Cargo space in the trunk was impressive even with the top down.
As a car enthusiast, The car is what future classics are made of. The acceleration is effortless, the styling is second to none and the smiles are endless. Perhaps it’s not in the sports car gene, but given the performance figures it behaves just like one.
Final thoughts
The best way to describe it is to share how it really felt – from the first moment of sitting in the car to the end of my test drive, a whole week later. I felt as if I was staying at a trendy South Beach hotel. Partially from the physical space while driving, materials, smell and colors of the car, but largely from the mood the car set, the lifestyle it represents and carefree mentality it had the ability to put me in. It is like being on a vacation.
