What engine comes with Cadillac Escalade V-Series?

6.2-liter SuperCharged V-8 engine

The high-performance Escalade V-Series is expected to feature 682-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine. The standard models are equipped with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine producing 420 horsepower, capable of deactivating half of its cylinders during cruising for fuel efficiency. Additionally, a 3.0-liter diesel inline-six engine is offered as an alternative. All the engines options come with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission, and with the flexibility to opt for either rear- or all-wheel-drive configurations.

What are the interior features of the Cadillac Escalade?

The Escalade takes in-cabin luxury to a higher level. While the base Luxury trim features faux leather, all other trims boast genuine leather, with Platinum models showcasing semi-aniline hides. Enhancing the upscale ambiance are leather-covered dash and door panels, aluminum speaker grilles, and customizable interior ambient lighting. Available in both standard and long-wheelbase models, the latter offers extra legroom for third-row passengers and increased cargo space.

With the materials built upon the Platinum trim and Escalade’s signature curved OLED with 38 inches of total diagonal display, the Escalade-V cements itself within the V-Series.

The Infotainment system is composed of three curved OLED displays, seamlessly layered to provide an impressive 38 inches of combined digital space. Some of these displays function as the driver’s gauge cluster, while others project the CUE infotainment system for both driver and passenger use. Additional technological features include an augmented-reality navigation system and an optional rear-seat entertainment package featuring two 12.6-inch displays equipped with streaming capabilities. Standard amenities include Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 19-speaker Studio Sound system on the Luxury, Sport, and Premium Luxury models but also feature an optional AKG AKG Studio Reference system, boasting an impressive 36 speakers. For Platinum trims, they come standard with a AKG Studio Reference system.

How does the Cadillac Escalade v-Series Drive?

I have two perspectives to answer this question:

As a fairly tall, family man, It is a large size SUV, it is the perfect family car! One where mommy and daddy are both very happy. Captain chairs makes it easy for larger families with quick and easy access to the rear. The rest is pure luxury as expected by Cadillac.

As a car enthusiast, I mean what is there not to love! A full size SUV to drive daily with nearly 700hp. It’s insane, and the truck is a blast to drive. The V is very well defined cosmetically over the standard Escalade, so I can appreciate that GM really thought of the car enthusiast on this one. No negatives here, it’s the ultimate in performance and looks for the SUV world.

Final thoughts

Do we need a nearly 700hp SUV for daily driving? Absolutely not, but I don’t think that is the point. This is American muscle and we love it. It’s probably one of the last chances to buy such a powerful gasoline engine vehicle. It’s the end of an era and those looking to buy what I would consider a modern classic/collectable.
