A 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V-8 engine powers all models except the top-tier High Country. The High Country trim comes standard with a powerful 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V-8. Additionally, this trim level offers the optional diesel 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. While the diesel variant produces a slightly lower horsepower output of 277, it impressively matches the 460 pound-feet of torque generated by the larger V-8 engine.

All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and offer the choice between rear- or all-wheel drive configurations.

The Chevrolet Suburban boasts significantly larger cargo and passenger spaces. With a couple more inches of legroom in both the second and third rows.
