Is the Alfa Romeo Stelvio all new for 2024?
The 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio isn’t all new, but it does receive some special upgrades to mark an important milestone. Celebrating 100 years of the Quadrifoglio performance badge, Alfa Romeo introduced a limited-edition 100th Anniversario model for 2024. This version of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio adds unique details like commemorative badges, gold brake calipers, carbon fiber grille and mirror caps, gold interior stitching, and additional carbon fiber accents. It also sports new LED matrix headlights and taillights, giving it a refreshed look. However, I didn’t test drive the 100th Anniversario car. It’s worth noting that 2024 will be the final model year for the Stelvio Quadrifoglio in North America.

What engine comes with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio?
2.9L V6 Twin Turbo Engine
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that produces 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired exclusively with a paddle-shifted eight-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels. Additionally, standard adaptive dampers let you adjust the ride firmness for a customizable driving experience.
What are the interior features of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio?
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s interior offers a mix of luxurious touches and driver-focused features, though there are some minor build-quality issues. High-quality leather with contrast stitching covers many surfaces, giving the cabin a refined look. The front seats are supportive and provide a nearly perfect driving position, complemented by large, column-mounted paddle shifters that add to the sporty feel. Standard features include 14-way power-adjustable front seats, ambient interior lighting, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats, all designed to enhance comfort and driving enjoyment.

Each Stelvio Quadrifoglio comes equipped with an 8.8-inch touchscreen that can also be controlled via a convenient rotary dial on the center console. Standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in navigation, and a wireless phone charger, with an optional Wi-Fi hotspot available. The infotainment system boasts sharp graphics, easy-to-navigate menus, and a layout you can personalize. However, some icons and information can be difficult to read, and navigation instructions may occasionally lag. For music lovers, the Stelvio includes a premium 12-speaker, 900-watt Harman/Kardon sound system as standard.
How does the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Drive?
I have two perspectives to answer this question:
As a fairly tall, family man: Despite being a taller driver, I found the seating position perfect. For a family of five, including booster seats, the SUV fits us comfortably. While the rear space is a bit limited, especially with all the seats in use, it was still manageable for a weekend outing. And let’s face it—it’s way more engaging to drive than most SUVs, so it brings a unique blend of family utility and driving excitement.
As a car enthusiast: This SUV is pure excitement on wheels—sharp handling, track-ready feel, and that unmistakable Alfa Romeo spirit. One of the highlights of the week? My 3-year-old in the back seat kept shouting, “Go fast, go fast!” every time he heard the engine roar. It’s not every day an SUV can bring out that kind of reaction, and as a lifelong Alfa fan, I’m always grateful for any chance to drive one.
Final thoughts
Overall, this SUV is built for those who crave an exhilarating driving experience without giving up practicality entirely. It’s not the most spacious or family-focused SUV, but it’s hard to beat in this segment. For anyone who appreciates Italian design and engineering, it’s a standout choice that brings genuine excitement to the road.
