No, the BMW X6 M60i is not entirely new for 2024, but it has received several updates. The X6 has a revised front grille and bumper, new headlamps and taillamps, and updated wheel designs. The base engine now includes a 48-volt hybrid system, boosting the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine’s output to 375 horsepower. The performance-minded M60i, retains its powerful engine and gains gloss-black exterior accents, quad tailpipes, and an M logo on the grille. Additionally, the X6 now offers the Highway Assistant hands-free driving feature.

The M badge is given to the sportiest trim level.

The 40i trim features a 375-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with a 48-volt hybrid system. The top-tier X6 M trim boasts a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 combined with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, producing a combined output of 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.

All trims are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

What are the interior features of the BMW X6?

The BMW X6 mirrors the high-quality design of other new BMW models, featuring upscale materials and soft-touch surfaces throughout. The dashboard are two large 12.3-inch digital displays. An optional head-up display is available and easy to use. BMW’s gesture controls, allowing for functions like adjusting audio volume with hand movements, are included. Standard features, such as 16-way power-adjustable front seats, customizable ambient lighting, heated front seats, and keyless entry, ensuring a luxurious and comfortable driving experience.

The standard 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the BMW X6 includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It can be operated using traditional buttons, voice commands, a controller on the center console, and even hand gestures. Available upgrades include built-in navigation, enhanced USB ports, wireless charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. How does the BMW X6 Drive?

I have two perspectives to answer this question:

As a fairly tall, family man, Can it be a family car? Yes I think it can. Perhaps it requires a small sacrifice due to rear space and door opening, but it has a hatch! I was very comfortable and the car is very civilized if you’re not asking for the performance.

As a car enthusiast, this is where it all comes together. We are so blessed BMW is still filling the gaps for all enthusiasts. The car is pure fun, and dare I say overpowering (if such thing actually exists). It never got old switching from ‘comfort’ driving to ‘Sport Plus’ driving mode, the car transforms. It is an immediate and obvious change. You feel it in the suspension, transmission, and engine exhaust note, and it’s exhilarating. Unfortunately, the car’s limits exceed what I can test on the public roads. I really look forward to hopefully testing on the track someday.
