No, the Chevrolet Colorado is not entirely new for 2024, but it does see an exciting addition to its lineup. Following the successful debut of its next-generation mid-size pickup last year, Chevy has introduced the highly-anticipated Colorado ZR2 Bison for 2024. This variant is an enhanced version of the off-road-focused ZR2, featuring significant upgrades for off-road enthusiasts. To accommodate these larger tires, Chevy has modified the wheel arches and widened the track of the ZR2 Bison. Other than these changes, the trims remain consistent with the previous year’s model.

The Bison is a more off-road intensive ZR2, with 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory Mud Terrain tires along with a wider wheel arches giving it a wider track.

How does the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Drive?

I have two perspectives to answer this question:

As a fairly tall, family man, with three children, including two in a booster seat, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 proves to be a somewhat practical choice. My model lacked a side bar for entry, which made it challenging for my children, including my oldest, to get into the truck. The four-door crew cab ensures there is enough space for the whole family. While the new model has slightly reduced headroom, it still provides sufficient legroom and shoulder space for both front and rear passengers.

As a car enthusiast, the Colorado ZR2 stands out as a versatile and exciting vehicle, especially my model that came in Nitro Yellow adding to its mystique. It seamlessly combines rugged capability with advanced technology, delivering a driving experience that is both thrilling and practical.
