Is the Lincoln Aviator all new in 2025?
The 2025 Aviator isn’t an all-new model, but it receives a significant refresh. Up front, the SUV sports a redesigned grille and headlamps. Reserve and Black Label trims gain adaptive headlights that adjust based on speed and steering. Inside, every Aviator now comes with a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster running the new Lincoln Digital Experience. The Black Label trim also introduces a new “Invitation” interior theme, while an available Special Edition package blacks out exterior trim. Across the lineup, Lincoln’s BlueCruise hands-free driving tech is now standard, and buyers can choose from new colors and wheel options.

What engine comes with the Lincoln Aviator?
Powering the Aviator is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that delivers 400 horsepower, making it one of the strongest standard engines in the midsize luxury SUV class. It’s paired with a refined 10-speed automatic transmission. The available Dynamic Handling package adds an adaptive suspension, air springs, and variable-assist steering.
What are the interior features of the Lincoln Aviator?
The Aviator offers a flexible cabin with seating for six or seven passengers. Opting for second-row captain’s chairs allows buyers to choose between two different center-console layouts, including one that makes access to the third row easier. As with many SUVs in this class, the third row is best suited for children, but its compact size does free up generous cargo capacity. Up front, Lincoln’s optional Perfect Position seats deliver 30-way adjustability along with available massage functions, adding true luxury to long drives. For added comfort, an available road-scanning camera system works with the adaptive dampers to smooth out imperfections before the wheels even reach them.
A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Wi-Fi hotspot, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto all come standard on the Aviator. Single, straightforward display and traditional climate controls that are easy to use. At the top of the range, the optional Revel Ultima 3D audio system features 28 speakers.

How does the Lincoln Aviator Reserve drive?
I have two perspectives to answer this question:
As a fairly tall, family man, the Aviator feels roomy and accommodating. For family duty, it’s smooth and composed exactly what you want in a luxury SUV. While the third row is best suited for kids, the first two rows provide excellent space and comfort, my three kids fit very comfortably, and the cargo area is generous enough for family trips.
As a car enthusiast, I love the twin-turbo V6 it doesn’t disappoint. It delivers strong acceleration with a refined surge of power. The Aviator feels more athletic than you’d expect for its size, handling corners with surprising confidence while still keeping the ride plush.
Final thoughts.
The 2025 Lincoln Aviator Reserve brings together comfort, technology, and power in a way that makes it stand out in the luxury midsize SUV segment. It’s spacious and practical enough for family life while still offering a strong, engaging drive that car enthusiasts can appreciate. With its refined interior, updated tech, and a standard V6 that packs plenty of punch
