Is the Buick Enclave all new for 2026?

No, the 2026 brings only light updates since the Enclave was fully redesigned just last year. Buick adds two new exterior colors (Iridescent White and Stone Metallic), and the Avenir trim now offers an optional Cool Gray and Mocha two tone interior. The Avenir also gains a standard rear-view camera mirror, but overall, the lineup carries over largely unchanged.

Every 2026 Enclave uses the same 328-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available across the lineup. The Avenir trim adds a bit more polish to the ride, thanks to its adaptive dampers and large 22-inch wheels.

What are the interior features of the Buick Enclave?

Inside, the Enclave delivers exactly what you expect from a three row family SUV: space, comfort, and a clean, upscale layout. Since I was in the Avenir trim, I got the full luxury treatment. The two-tone interior options, cream with blue or cream with brown. The Avenir also packs in the convenience features: ambient interior lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second row seats, and automatic wipers all come standard. While, the Sport Touring model leans slightly sportier with a flat-bottom steering wheel and ST badging, but the Avenir is definitely where the Enclave feels its most refined.

A sweeping 30-inch curved display stretches from the driver’s side into the center of the dash, blending the digital gauges and infotainment screen into one clean, modern setup. The graphics look sharp, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, making it easy to mirror your phone. Buick uses GM’s newest Google-built software, so you can download apps and personalize the system to your liking. A 12-speaker Bose audio system, wireless charging, a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, and plenty of USB ports are all included. If you step up to the Avenir like the one I had you get an upgraded 16-speaker Bose setup that fills the cabin with noticeably richer sound.

How does the Buick Enclave Avenir Drive?

I have two perspectives to answer this question:

As a fairly tall, family man, it’s exactly the kind of SUV that makes family life easier. At my height, I had no issues getting comfortable. My three kids fit with zero drama. Two booster seats went in without a fight, and the third row is actually usable, even for longer drives. It’s the type of car you settle into and instantly feel less stressed.

As a car enthusiast, the Enclave isn’t pretending to be something it’s not but the new turbo engine has decent punch. The engine pulls the SUV around confidently. The Avenir’s adaptive suspension keeps it from feeling sloppy, and the steering is predictable. It’s not sporty, but it’s controlled, refined, and easy to place on the road. For something in this class, it’s better to drive than you’d expect.
