What engine comes with Cadillac Lyriq?

Dual EV Motor

There’s no traditional engine here. The LYRIQ-V uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with a 102-kWh battery. It produces up to 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque in its highest-performance setting. Cadillac estimates 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds and about 285 miles of range.

What are the interior features of the Cadillac Lyriq?

The LYRIQ-V has a clean, upscale cabin with a 33-inch display, panoramic glass roof, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, heated rear outboard seats, and a V-Series steering wheel with its own V-Mode button. The front seats also have adjustable bolsters, while paperwood trim is standard and Nappa leather is available.

The centerpiece is Cadillac’s 33-inch display, along with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and a 23-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby Atmos. There’s also an augmented-reality head-up display and standard Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance.

How does the Cadillac Lyriq V-Series Drive?

I have two perspectives to answer this question:

As a fairly tall, family man, At 6’3″, I have plenty of room up front, and with three kids, including two still in boosters, the LYRIQ-V makes more sense to me than a traditional performance car. It’s quiet, comfortable, and easy to live with, but there’s a ridiculous amount of acceleration when you want it. The rear seat and cargo space also make it practical enough for everyday family duty.

As a car enthusiast, this is where the LYRIQ-V gets interesting. It doesn’t drive like a normal LYRIQ. The quicker steering, firmer suspension tuning, adaptive dampers, and Brembo brakes make it feel much more intentional when you start pushing it. The instant torque is the obvious party trick, but I like that Cadillac actually put work into making the chassis handle the power.

Final thoughts

The LYRIQ-V is an interesting combination of a comfortable family SUV and a genuinely quick performance vehicle. It won’t replace something like a Blackwing for me as a car enthusiast, but it gives you a lot of performance without giving up the practicality you want from an SUV. For someone who wants one vehicle that can handle the family during the week and still be fun on the weekend, this makes a lot of sense.
