Facelift and RS Badging
Equinox EV prices start at $34,995.00
Is the Chevrolet Equinox EV all new for 2026?
No, the Equinox EV carries over largely unchanged for 2026. The updates are minor, including a new Midnight package for LT trims with black wheels and dark exterior accents. RS models now offer a single-tone paint option instead of the previously standard black roof. There’s also a new Polar White Tricoat color replacing the previous pearl shade, and every model now includes a dual-level charging cable.
Equinox EV Trim levels
The Equinox EV is offered in five trim levels:
- LT (as tested)
- RS

MSRP as tested $49,495.00 including destination charge.
The RS badge is given to the sportiest trim level and stands for ‘Rally Sport’. The RS offers distinctive sport styling.
What is the Equinox EV warranty?
- 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty
- 8-year /100,000-mile electric vehicle propulsion battery warranty
What engine comes with Equinox EV?
Single and Double Electric Motor
The Equinox EV comes with two powertrain options. Front-wheel-drive models use a single electric motor making 220 horsepower. Stepping up to dual-motor all-wheel drive increases output to 300 horsepower.
Every Equinox EV uses the same battery pack, but range depends on the drivetrain. Front-wheel-drive models are rated at up to 319 miles on a charge, while the all-wheel-drive version comes in slightly lower at 307 miles.
What are the interior features of the Equinox EV?
The Equinox EV offers up to 57 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded, which is slightly less than the gas version. The cabin is centered around a large 17.7-inch touchscreen, giving it a modern look. Available features include heated seats, power-adjustable front seats, a sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. If you go with the RS trim, you can spec the bold Adrenaline Red interior for a more distinct look.

All Equinox EV models include an 11-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 17.7-inch infotainment screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto aren’t available, but the system runs built-in Google apps like Maps and Spotify. Higher trims add integrated navigation and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
How does the Chevrolet Equinox EV Drive?
I have two perspectives to answer this question:
As a fairly tall, family man: its easy to live with. I fit comfortably up front, and there’s enough space in the back for my three kids without it feeling tight. The ride is smooth and settled, and the quiet electric setup makes the cabin calm
As a car enthusiast: With the all electric setup, it has more punch than you’d expect from a compact SUV. The instant torque is noticeable, especially in traffic or merging onto the highway. It’s not a performance vehicle, but it feels responsive and composed.
Final thoughts
The Equinox EV balances everyday practicality with just enough performance to keep things interesting. It’s comfortable, spacious, and simple to drive, which makes it a strong fit for families who want to go electric without sacrificing usability
