2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Plus

Modern Muscle Car

Dodge Charger prices start at $51,990.00

Is the Dodge Charger all new for 2026?

Yes. The Charger has been completely redesigned for 2026. It replaces both the old Charger sedan and Challenger coupe with one new platform that can be configured as either a two-door or four-door. The Scat Pack Plus now uses Dodge’s new twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six instead of a Hemi V8. The car also moves to standard all-wheel drive with the ability to disconnect the front axle and behave more like a rear-wheel-drive muscle car when you want it to. The styling still leans heavily on classic Charger cues, but the car itself is much more modern underneath.

Dodge Charger Trim levels

The Dodge Charger is offered in four trim levels than can be either coupes or sedans:

  • R/T
  • R/T Plus
  • Scat Pack
  • Scat Pack Plus

MSRP as tested $72,665.00 including destination charges.

What is the Dodge Charger warranty?

  • 5 year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty
  • 3 year/30,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty

What engine comes with the Dodge Charger?

3.0-liter Twin-Turbocharged Hurricane Inline-six

The Scat Pack Plus uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six making 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. Power goes through an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. For lower trims it uses the same engine but with 420 horsepower.

What are the interior features of the Dodge Charger?

Inside, the new Charger feels more upscale than the previous generation. The cabin has a wide, driver-focused layout with available leather seating, performance front seats, ambient lighting, and noticeably more usable rear-seat space than before. The hatchback design also makes the cargo area far more practical than you would expect from a muscle car. Rear visibility and overall space are improved compared to the old Challenger as well.

The Charger gets a large 12.3-inch center touchscreen paired with a digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with available navigation, performance pages, launch control, and multiple drive modes. The car also offers modern driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and forward collision warning.

How does the Dodge Charger Scat Pack Plus drive?

I have two perspectives to answer this question:

As a fairly tall, family man, For a car this aggressive looking, it’s surprisingly usable. I fit comfortably up front, and the rear seat actually works for kids in boosters without feeling cramped. The hatchback setup also makes loading bags or strollers easier than you’d expect in something called a Scat Pack.

As a car enthusiast, It’s definitely a different experience than the old 392 cars, but the performance is serious. The twin-turbo inline-six pulls hard everywhere and feels very quick. The car is heavy, but it hides its weight better than expected. You still miss some of the drama and sound of a naturally aspirated Hemi, but the new Hurricane engine has strong torque and real tuning potential.

Final thoughts

The new Dodge Charger Scat Pack Plus feels like Dodge trying to modernize the muscle car without completely abandoning what made the old cars fun. It’s quicker, more refined, and more practical than before, even if it loses some of the old-school V8 character.
